\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts in Level I Trauma Emergency Department
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5 across all shifts
\n• 2 years of experience required, Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred
\n• Travel experience strongly preferred, though candidates with 2+ years Level I experience may be considered
\n• Weekend coverage required as needed (Saturday and Sunday for days, Friday-Sunday for nights)
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
\n• New Mexico license can pend at time of submission
\n• No RQI certifications accepted
\n• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional, floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs
\n• May also float to ED Holding and Trauma areas depending on experience
\n• Guaranteed contracted hours (36/48/40) per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times during 13-week assignment
\n• Medication administration including IV medications, documentation and communication of clinical findings
\n• 60-80% of Emergency Department patients are admitted with many ED rooms serving as "ED Holding"
\n• 24 hours of orientation required
\n• Black scrubs required (not provided)
\n• Cerner charting system
\n• Free parking available
\n• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
\n• Overtime must be pre-approved and is rarely granted
\n• No on-call requirements
Facility:
\nThis healthcare facility is a comprehensive Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital that also serves as a teaching hospital providing short-term acute care. With 554 staffed beds, the facility operates a busy emergency department seeing 170-200 patients daily with approximately 175 visits per day across 53 rooms and 68 beds. The emergency department is supported by comprehensive interdisciplinary services including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. As a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, the facility maintains high standards for emergency and trauma care.
