Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a current California Fluoroscopy Permit and cath lab experience for a pediatric through geriatric population.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an inpatient interventional radiology unit with patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Call and float requirements are included
  • Unit uses Epic for charting
  • Procedures performed include TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, angiograms, ablations, stents, biopsies, drainages, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment required
  • Performs specialized procedures such as stents, ablations, angioplasty, kyphoplasty, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Handles peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular, genitourinary, neurological studies, and venous access
  • Works with team members to provide care across all age groups in a dynamic hospital environment
  • All requests for time off must be included at initial consideration and are limited to 3-4 days
  • High cost of living in the area should be considered prior to accepting the assignment
  • Open to first-time travelers meeting experience criteria
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to start

  • Minimum of 2 years interventional radiology experience required; first-time travelers must have over 4 years experience
  • Active CA Fluoroscopy Permit, BLS, and CRT required prior to start
  • IV start, phlebotomy, EKG, PACS, portables, C-arm, and contrast administration required
  • Inpatient setting experience required; outpatient, ER, Level I trauma, community hospital, and adult ICU experience preferred
  • Experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment required; GE, Toshiba, Acuson, Hitachi preferred
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • License required if applicable
