The Retail Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care and medication dispensing in a rural healthcare setting. This role focuses on ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of prescription medications, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and verify dosages.
• Provide patient counseling on medications, side effects, and interactions.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support transitions of care, including long-term care and outpatient settings. Ax

Eligibility & Requirements
Requirement Details
Experience Minimum 2 years pharmacy experience required
Certification Pharmacist license in California (must be active at submission)
Shifts M–F, 9 AM – 6 PM, no call, no weekends, no holidays
Overtime After 40 hrs/week @ $110/hr
Call Back Not applicable
Holiday Rate $110/hr if worked
Housing Shared housing provided by facility
Facility Size 121-bed critical access hospital (22 acute, 99 long-term care)
Start Date 08/26/2025
Background Agency must sign facility’s standard agreement
