About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP - Business Banking to join their dynamic and successful organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for soliciting new and expanding existing business relationships within the bank's market area, with a focus on developing new deposit and credit relationships with small to medium-sized businesses. This role involves prospecting, networking, and working with various banking staff to implement sales strategies. The VP will also be involved in the full cycle of business lending, from identifying opportunities to managing a portfolio of business loan relationships. Essential duties include creating and maintaining prospect lists, coordinating with banking centers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Candidates for the VP - Business Banking position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of progressive experience in a similar role within business or commercial banking sales. Advanced credit skills, superior knowledge of banking products, and the ability to perform detailed analyses are essential. The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and customer support skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The VP will also be expected to mentor and provide support to junior staff and actively participate in community events to promote the bank's interests.
