Summary Working as a member of the Digital Strategy department, this position will be responsible for supporting the production of video content for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and other related properties. This individual will have technical knowledge of video production equipment and practices, as well as a firm understanding of video editing processes and techniques. The ability to work effectively under tight deadlines is a must. This is a part-time, temporary role that will encompass the 2025-26 season (approximately August 2025 - May 2026). This position requires various day, night, and weekend hours, including some game day responsibilities. Duties & Responsibilities Support the team on a variety of video shoots, including but not limited to equipment transport and setup, camera and lighting assistance, and general on-site duties as assigned. Provide shooting and editing support for practices, press conferences, and media availabilities. Shoot and edit game highlights as requested. Properly organize and archive video footage and other project assets. Utilize Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative products to edit projects as assigned. Support the plans and processes laid out by the Dir. of Video Production and Supervising Producer. Minimum Qualifications for the Position: Minimum 1-3 years video production experience. Years experience can be a combination of education and professional experience Familiarity with the operation of professional video cameras and lenses. Some knowledge of professional audio and lighting equipment is preferred, but not required. Strong video editing experience, including knowledge of Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative applications. Valid Driver's License Critical Competencies Exhibit a strong enthusiasm for video production. Be collaborative and team oriented. Be comfortable with handling heavy video production equipment, including cameras, lights, grip stands, and more. Work effectively with different disciplines and departments throughout the Buffalo Sabres organization. Maintain the high-quality standards that define the Buffalo Sabres brand. Display the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Show disciplined organizational and multi-tasking skills. Adapt to unknown conditions and excel under tight deadlines. Work a flexible schedule, including non-traditional hours such as nights and weekends. Maintain the utmost confidentiality regarding sensitive team and corporate information. Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with professional athletes and other high-profile individuals. Compensation This role pays $15.50 an hour.
