Picker / Shipping Specialist

1st Shift / M-F / 8am-5pm

$18 per hr

PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced and detailed Picker / Shipping Specialist on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC.

The warehouse Picker / Shipping Specialist is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders via UPS and FedEx. Candidates are also responsible for accurate data entry on each shipment, keeps accurate documentation of data for all picks, and maintains good safety practices. 

Picker / Shipping Specialist Key Duties:

• Accurate picking, packing and/or labeling within the department
• Give priority to safety while performing warehouse duties by using Pallet Jacks, dollies, hand trucks and on rare occasions, forklifts

· Fulfilment - Prepare products for shipping via UPS & FedEx

· Prepare bill of lading (BOL)

· Inspect products for quality

• Organize orders and problem solve if issue with orders accrues.
• Ensure Standard Operation Procedures are followed
• Enter data and documents accurately into QuickBooks for inventory
• Unload shipping containers, sort and stage boxes for storage
• Assignments may include various tasks like unloading, categorizing, arranging, identifying, extracting, boxing, replenishing, validating, delivering, packaging, and more.
• Ensure that the workplace is clean and secure by following all relevant policies and procedures.

Picker / Shipping Specialist Key Requirements:

• 2 years of Picker experience / Ability to read & understand pick sheets
• 2 years of fulfillment - FedEx and UPS shipping
• Ability to walk up to 4 miles each day in the warehouse
• Ability to use scanning device and pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Experienced with QuickBooks inventory program.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
