Now hiring a Welder & Fabricator in Carlisle, PA

Job Description

Join our dynamic welding and fabrication shop where you will be responsible for building flatbed trailers from prints. You will engage in MIG welding, perform solid core welding, and occasionally work with TIG on aluminum. The role involves handling high-strength steel, and you will play a crucial part in fabricating and welding raw materials based on blueprints.

Shift: 4-10 hour days, 2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 2pm-12:30am

Pay Rate: $20-$28/hour ($2 shift differential)

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on high-strength steel and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate and weld materials.
• Utilize plasma cutters, laser cutters, and material handling equipment.
• Perform out-of-position welding in tight spaces.
• Maintain proficiency in vertical welding and pre-heating procedures.
• Ensure minimal errors and maintain high productivity in welding tasks.
• Work independently and demonstrate an understanding of metallurgy.
• Perform other business-related duties as required and assigned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $28.50/hr.
