Role & Responsibilities of the TIG Welder:

As a TIG Welder , you will:

• Verify raw materials to ensure they meet the necessary specifications prior to welding.
• Visually inspect detail parts for any damage before initiating the welding process.
• Inspect all finished welds to ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Order Ticket (MOT) and/or Blueprint (B/P) specifications.
• Confirm proper welding rods are used according to color code specifications.
• Identify and tag rejectable items before submitting them to the Inspection department.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years of experience in fusion welding, with a strong focus on TIG welding.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Technical proficiency in welding techniques and using measuring equipment.
• Ability to pass the standard welding qualification test (for .030 material thickness).
• Strong understanding of weld symbols and blueprints.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more as required.
• Near 20/20 vision (20/30 for distance vision).
• Capability to pass color vision tests such as Pseudochromatic Plates, Dvorine, Ishihara, Richmond, Farnsworth Lantern, Keystone Orthoscope, and Titmus Vision Tests.
