Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a WordPress Developer located in Orlando, FL. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress CMS. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with team members to create user-friendly designs, developing custom themes and plugins, troubleshooting website issues, and ensuring website responsiveness and performance. The role requires close interaction with various departments to deliver high-quality digital solutions for clients. This is a client-facing position.

The candidate must be able to actively manage multiple web-based projects and work under tight deadlines while consistently delivering quality results.

• Ability to also develop WordPress websites from scratch (custom design). We do not use templates.
• Build e-commerce websites using Shopify and Woocommerce
• Ability to code or have an excellent knowledge of HTML5 / CSS3, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and Jquery.
• Experience in WordPress ACF and other WP builders
• Experience in WooCommerce and Shopify is a plus
• Experience in using Bitbucket or Github
• Develops website development activities (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity, and resource allocation management) for very complex projects/ programs
• Can develop website sitemaps and wireframes
• Independently manage the development of websites, landing pages, and email newsletter coding. (HTML / CSS)
• Own the project life cycle, from requirements through implementation, including, but not limited to, determining the project approach, success metrics, requirements, deliverables, resource needs, and schedule
• Manage and communicate overall status and project results to internal and external clients, management, and other project stakeholders as necessary.
• Identify, optimize, and document repeatable processes in support of the Chatter Buzz web development process.
• Effectively contribute to cross-functional teams to define and successfully deliver digital marketing programs.
• Support SEO activities and SEM programs, working closely with marketing campaign owners, demand generation resources, and external agencies.
• Work closely with internal clients to ensure digital practices are consistent with corporate digital strategies, brand guidelines, and best practices.
• A solid understanding of at least one of the following domains is highly beneficial: e-commerce, user experience design, or website analytics management.
• Experience with digital marketing and SEO strategies is an advantage

Required Qualifications and Competencies

Web Development or related field with at least 3-5 years of experience in developing websites from scratch. WordPress development, e-commerce, mobile website, and web development.

Specific examples and a portfolio of web design are required.

• Strong knowledge of HTML 4/5, CSS, and PHP.
• Javascript & JQuery
• Sass and Less
• Extensive Bootstrap knowledge is a MUST
• Gulp or Grunt Experience
• Git Management
• Front-end and minimal back-end development experience.
• Have used Zeplin and Sketch
• Strong design quality and understanding of visual and UI/UX disciplines and principles.
