Dump Truck Driver

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. Will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed.

The most common job duties described in Dump Truck Driver resumes are transporting loads from one place to another, verifying material weight, cooperating with other equipment operators, keeping the truck clean and in good condition, and delivering materials in a timely manner.

Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:

1. Drive and operate trucks.
2. Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
3. Pre-inspect truck.
4. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
5. Load and unload cargo.
6. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
7. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
8. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
