Chemical Operator, $20/ hr , Auburn Hills, MI

Workbox Staffing is hiring a Chemical Operator in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities:

• Process tank of chemicals using batch instructions, and test results
• Process sampling and measurement (pH, % solids, weight)
• Data collection and entry
• Filter pressure monitoring and system maintenance.
• Raw material and finished product handling, labeling, packaging
• Fork truck, pallet jack.
• Management of hazardous waste.

Qualifications:

• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable with repeated lifting of 55 lb bags during raw material prep. This is a significant part of the role.
• Must be able to qualify for respiratory protection equipment use.
• Understanding and awareness of chemicals, hazards, safety and health issues etc. (SDS’s, use of PPE etc.)
• OSHA HAZWOPER, DOT Hazmat certification, or any formal chemical education would be a strong plus.
• Good work ethic, reliable transportation, and an excellent attendance record is necessary.
• 2 years of chemical handling or equivalent manufacturing experience

The Chemical Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing of our ultra-pure chemicals. Chemical Operators fulfill production needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of the company. The Chemical Operators take ownership of the process and pride themselves on the quality of products that are produced.
