General Summary:

This Lead Technician role provides DC Power and critical infrastructure services across multiple OEM platforms including, Alpha, Emerson, Vertiv, Lineage and more in support of data centers, hyper-scalers, head ends, hubs, telephone central offices, and more. Technical responsibilities include leading and working with a team to install various configurations of critical infrastructure and DC power systems. This includes installation, maintenance, modification and wreck out of rack/cabinet mounting, ladder, basket, fiber trough, and primary and secondary DC power systems. This role is 100% travel. All travel expenses paid, prearranged and booked by the company. Must be able to communicate with customers while in the field.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Safety coordination and compliance
  • Quality coordination and compliance
  • Lead and complete critical infrastructure installations independently and with a team (Rack/Cabinet mounting, cable ladder, basket tray, fiber trough, grounding, etc.)
  • Lead and complete DC power (Primary and Secondary) installation activities independently and with a team (DC Plant, BDFB, Battery Strings, Stitching, Lacing, Lugging, Labelling, etc.)
  • Read prints, drawings, run list, and other build detail documentation. Including interpreting, installing, directing a team to complete, providing redlines and corrections.
  • Ability to create and provide an all-inclusive BOM (Bill of Materials) for quoting and ordering to complete a project in its entirety.
  • Testing/troubleshooting DC power systems
  • Review, update, augment, and provide job documentation to leadership, customer and technical resources
  • Have "First In/First Out" mentality
  • Read/create run list and associated labels
  • Understand labelling and quality standard compliance by customer
  • Working as a team
  • 100% Travel

Desired Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of DC power safety practices
  • Expert knowledge of DC power configurations (-48VDC, BDFB, Battery Strings, Battery Stacks, Stitching, Lacing, etc.)
  • Expert critical infrastructure knowledge and installation experience (Rack/Cabinet mounting, cable ladder, basket tray, fiber trough, grounding, etc.)
  • Intermediate computer, Microsoft Office, and phone application use

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years field technical DC power experience
  • 5+ years field technical critical infrastructure experience
  • 5+ years working with documentation on technical jobs (JCR, SOW, etc.)
  • 3+ years of leading work/jobs in the field

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 100lbs
  • Must be able to pass drug screening
