Job Description
Wisper ISP is seeking a full-time non-exempt Maintenance Tower Technician Tier 3 to join our Tower Operations Team. Responsibilities for this role include numerous manual labor tasks involved with the installation, upgrades, service, and decommission of wireless internet service tower equipment throughout our network. We are also seeking someone with Fiber OSP experience. This role will often serve as the Lead on the Tower Top Side and must ensure that all team members adhere to Wisper's safety and operating standards. This position may require off duty hours work to be performed as needed by the department, as well as overnight travel within the network. This position will include all tools, safety/climbing gear, shared company vehicle, and will be based primarily in our Sedalia, MO/Kansas City, MO network region and will report to our Smithton, MO office for periodic meetings and inventory replenishment.
Tower Tech Top Hand
Pay: $25-$32 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8AM to 4:30PM with after-hours as needed. On-Call rotation.
Travel: 25% within Midwest network

Essential Job Functions
•Climb towers up to 1000 ft.
•Create & execute Statement of Work (SOW)
•Coordinate & schedule tower work within the department as needed
•Train & mentor Tier 1 & 2 Tower Technicians
•Create required parts list for non-network tower equipment
•Timely completion of assigned administrative tasks
•Supervise the installation/maintenance of wireless internet equipment & camera systems
•Supervise the mounting of internet equipment & relay data cables to each device
•Install battery backups & grounding systems for equipment
•Supervise the preparation of equipment for installation
•Follow training protocols & safety briefings
•Database & documentation updates as needed
•Perform on-site analysis, repairs, and upgrades as needed
•Optical fiber installation
•Other duties as directed
Job Requirements
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Valid driver's license •Minimum 2+ year demonstrated experience as a Tower Technician
•Ability to be added to the Company auto insurance policy
•Successful completion of required tower training within 90days of hire
•Ability to climb towers up to 1000 ft.
•Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future

Physical Requirements: Heavy: Lifting 25+ lbs.
