Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physicist - Radiation Oncology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:

\n\n

• Provide medical radiation physics services in radiation oncology department
• Perform external beam radiation therapy (teletherapy) procedures and oversight
• Conduct intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) planning and quality assurance
• Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology physics support
• Implement and maintain radiation safety precautions and protocols
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation and record keeping
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Maintain current BLS certification as preferred
• Complete required modules and training programs during orientation (average 6 hours)
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in radiation oncology
• Adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
• Provide two professional references covering recent employment history
• Complete required background checks and state-specific releases as needed
• Participate in 40 hours of orientation training
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
• Complete lab testing and compliance requirements within specified timeframes

Job Requirements:

\n\n

\n\t
• Active, unencumbered license in AZ
\n\t
• Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
\n\t
• Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
\n\t
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
\n

• Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
\n\t
• Two current clinical references
\n\t
• State-required professional license
\n\t
• Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
\n\t
• TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
\n\t
• Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
\n\t
• Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
\n\t
• Must pass background check and drug screening
\n
