National Design Summit 2018
The National Design Summit held on Wed 8 March 2018 at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney was attended by a range of Australian and New Zealand design luminaries, including AdA’s CEO Jo-Ann Kellock, who addressed the Summit and outlined the Australian Design Alliance efforts in policy to date.
The summit was chaired by Tim Horton, Registrar of the NSW Architects Registration Board. A 36-page ‘primer’ titled Australian Design Strategy 2.0 has been produced in downloadable pdf format that details the case for a national design policy and examines initiatives in other countries. The document also offers suggestions as to how design strategy for Australia might be achieved successfully.
